Project 52 – Week 13

The most depressing thing of the week – it’s only March!!!IMG_2859

Project 52 – Week 12

I’ve been trying to take a quick walk at lunch time most weekdays just to get out of my cubicle and get moving.  I’ve found a nice route close to my building that includes a little green space and a community garden.  Last week it also included a Vermillion Flycatcher which was really nice!IMG_2857

Project 52 – Week 11

Lots to choose from this past weekend.  A great Tucson Festival of Books, including the benefit concert by the Rock Bottom Remainders – so much fun!  And then another nice wildflower excursion – this time over Gates Pass and to Saguaro National Park West.

Project 52 – Week 10

Had the chance to try out a new (at least to me) Tucson restaurant last week – Penca.  It’s downtown and although I didn’t indulge since I had work to do, they have agave tasting flights!  Since I wasn’t getting a cocktail, I did have a glass of their limeade – quite yummy and very “limey” – just how I like it.  I really liked the decor and the food was delicious.  We had the elote appetizer and then I had two tacos – carnitas and guajolote, and a side of calabacitas.  We shared some delicious churros for dessert.  All around a great meal.

Project 52 – Week 9

Feeling the need to do something other than work I made a little trip north to Picacho Peak State Park where the poppies were in bloom by the thousands.  Just what I needed!
